Starting with you, think kindly. Your body is
aware of every thought you have. The area between your ears is where your power
is located. Everything you want to accomplish—from enhancing your health to
finding happiness—begins in your thoughts. And a fantastic way to encourage
positive changes in your life is to consistently repeat brief, positive
affirmations throughout the day.
If you're unfamiliar with the idea, it could
seem absurd, yet changing your thought patterns with positive affirmations is a
genuine thing. To change your state of mind, you can repeat positive words,
phrases, and statements aloud or in your head.
The National Science Foundation estimates that a
typical person has between 12,000 and 60,000 thoughts per day. 80 percent of
them involve negative self-talk. Without even realizing it, the majority of us
concentrate on the bad. I've heard it claimed that you wouldn't have any
friends if you talked to them the way you talk to yourself.
And I have faith. Since it's difficult to
maintain new food or exercise habits if you continue to have the attitude of self-sabotage,
the work I do with the hundreds of women I guide to improved health always
starts with the topic of mentality.
